JSA WATER SAFETY AND CONFIDENCE

Swimming is an essential skill that plays a vital and supportive role in many aspects of young childhood development.

A CONDUCIVE ENVIRONMENT FOR LEARNING
JSA’s pool is used exclusively for swim school, meaning that unlike community
public pools, we are able to maintain the highest quality of pool water hygiene,
with as little chemicals as possible for sensitive skin.
In addition, our pool water temperature is maintained at 32 degrees in winter,
and 30 degrees in summer, so kids remain comfortable throughout the year.

THE IMPORTANCE OF SMALL STUDENT-TEACHER RATIO CLASSES
We know how important that little children receive feedback and attention
during learning. That is why our preschool swim program classes are capped
at 4 students to 1 teacher – the smallest ratio across all swim schools, and
well below the recommended RLSSA student-teacher ratio. This ensures
your children receive quality attention from our teachers during their swim lessons.
QUALITY PROGRAM AND ACCREDITED TEACHERS
All JSA Swim teachers are accredited by AUSTSwim or an equivalent governing body. Our teachers are carefully selected so that we are able to provide quality and uniform teaching across all ages and levels. JSA adopts the use of lots of toys, and engaging teaching methodologies to ensure that our children have fun while learning. We believe strongly in encouraging children to learn in a safe and loving environment, so that each child can progress at his or her own pace.

CLASS INFORMATION
At JSA Swim School, we always try to accomodate all requests for swim class times to the best of our abilities.
Therefore, we do not release our time schedules as the schedule is constantly updated to suit our customers’ needs.
CLASS TIMES
Pre school swim classes are available at JSA throughout the
week, from Monday to Sunday! To suit different families and
their needs, pre school swim classes are available throughout
the week, in the mornings and after school!

ENROLMENTS
JSA Swim School runs weekly classes throughout the school
term, and we do not break for school holiday periods. We believe
that our babies, and kids should be regularly exposed to the water,
and familiarity with the water will build their confidence and
understanding. JSA Swim School does not have a cut off period for
enrolment throughout the year, and you can request for your first
free trial at any time!
CLASS REQUIREMENTS
At JSA, one of the ways we maintain pool hygiene is requiring
all JSA swimmers and/or parents entering the JSA pool to
have a swim cap on. If your child is anxious about being in the
water without you, our program does include a transition level,
whereby a parent may enter the class with the child. There is no
extra charge for the parent to enter the water. If your child is not
yet fully toilet trained, we also request you put a swim nappy on
under their swimwear.

Cost of pre school swim classes are:
$23 – $26/class and JSA direct debits fortnightly.
